Brown Otu For Fulshear

Candidate for Fulshear City Council - District 5.
Public Safety, Smart Zoning (planning), Support Small Businesses, Community Engagement.

This week, I would like us to talk about Public Safety.

Public safety is the foundation of a strong community. When families feel safe, everything else works better.

One area we can improve together is awareness. Simple steps to protect our homes and vehicles can prevent many problems before they start.
It would also be helpful to have more community meetings with residents, law enforcement, and city staff so concerns can be discussed openly and solutions can be shared.

We could also partner with organizations to help with logistics and cost so safety programs can reach more families.

Public safety is not just about emergency response. It is also about neighbors looking out for one another and staying informed.

After all, my job is to represent YOU.
Please share any ideas or suggestions you may have.

Let’s keep the conversation going.

E. Brown Otu (For Fulshear City Council District 5)

Over the next few weeks, I will be picking one thing from my campaign and sharing thoughts on ways it can be addressed.

More importantly, I want us to talk about these topics together. The best ideas often come from conversations with neighbors, and those conversations are what keeps me going.

These discussions will focus on areas that matter to many of us in Fulshear:
• Public Safety
• Responsible Growth and Smart Planning
• Community Engagement
• Supporting Local Businesses

This is not just about my ideas. It is about listening and working together, because after all, my job is to represent YOU.

E. Brown Otu - For Fulshear City Council District 5.

Today is the official kickoff of my campaign for Fulshear City Council, District 5.

For those who may not know me, I’m E. Brown Otu. I love this city. Fulshear is home for my family and me, and that love is one reason why I serve on the City’s Economic Development Corporation. I believe in showing up, listening, and doing the work.

Talking with neighbors is what keeps me inspired. I hear your concerns. I share them too.

My priorities are simple and clear
* Public safety first!
* Responsible growth with smart planning and zoning!
* Strong support for our small businesses!
* Real community engagement so we move forward together!

As a project manager, I believe good planning prevents problems. Smart zoning matters.

Thoughtful decisions today protect our quality of life tomorrow.

My job, if elected, is to represent you in every aspect, not just one issue. Life brings all kinds of challenges, and we need leadership that looks at the full picture.

I would be truly honored to earn your vote and represent District 5.

At Texas Economic Development Conference. I had the pleasure of meeting the Mayor of Bastrop, Ismael Harris and we had a great conversation about community and growth.
Grateful for the chance to represent The City of Fulshear and to learn from other city leaders who share the same passion for building stronger communities.
It was an honor to attend the official launch of Eagle Landing Park, Fulshear Tx. A one-of-a-kind park with multiple fields for all ages.

Bigups to all the volunteers that made this happen. Feeling good about the future and direction we are going as a community.

While I was in Bastrop Tx, i walked by a guy that was standing with two ladies, as i got closer, he smiled and said "Fulshear is a great city". At first I wondered how he knew I was from Fulshear, i realized he saw the logo on my shirt 😊😂.
Anyway, that simple moment made me smile because it reminded me that people notice the heart of our community even from miles away. It may have been a short encounter but it means a lot and it reminds me why listening, learning and gathering real feedback matter so much in building a stronger Fulshear.
Sometimes, we just need to pause and refocus on what truly matters 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Thank You, Fulshear

Though we didn’t come out with a win this time, I am truly grateful for the journey and for every single person who stood with me. Your support, encouragement, conversations, and belief in a better Fulshear meant the world to me. Thanks to my family for their tremendous support.

This campaign was never just about one election, it was about community, connection, and being a voice for each other. That doesn’t end here.

Thank you for opening your doors, sharing your ideas, and showing up. I’m still here, still involved, and still committed to serving our community in any way I can.

Let’s continue working together to build the Fulshear we all believe in.

If you’ve been following my campaign journey, you know I enjoy sharing the beautiful moments I’ve experienced with people I might have never met otherwise and this one right here? Pure gold.

Meet Amber and her two absolutely adorable daughters. I was chatting with Amber (she mentioned she liked how I respond to questions on social media.. thank you! 🙏🏾), and out of nowhere, these sweet little girls wrapped me up in a double hug! One from each side.

Now I’m standing there, mid-sentence, trying to figure out what just hit me emotionally… and it hit me. I needed that hug more than I realized. I held on a little longer. Their mom just smiled, and I could tell… these kids are being raised with love, joy, and big hearts.

Great job, Mom. And thank you for letting the moment be what it was.

These are the Fulshear stories that fill me up. These are the moments that keep me going. 💙

I had the pleasure of attending the 2025 Fort Bend County Lincoln Reagan Dinner at Safari Texas Ranch, and it was truly a memorable night. Governor Greg Abbott delivered an inspiring keynote, and Congressman Troy Nehls rocked the mic as the guest auctioneer.

It was also a joy to connect with so many incredible people, State Rep. Gary Gates , Mayor Aaron Groff , Fulshear Mayor Don McCoy , Attorney Karan Joshi, Daniel Wong, Judge Kevin Patrick, Kenneth Omoruyi, Malcolm Whittaker, and many more.

Even more meaningful was the chance to catch up with friends, make new connections, and share great conversations with fellow Texans and supporters.
Nights like this remind me just how strong and vibrant our community truly is.
Continuing my journey with the Fulshear Citizens Police Academy, I had the opportunity to learn about the vital role of K9 officers in law enforcement.

Officer @edmonds9435 shared invaluable insights into the different types of K9s, their training, and the situations where they make a difference. We also had the honor of meeting Officer K9 Blu, an incredible partner in keeping our community safe!

This experience is deepening my understanding of the Fulshear Police Department and reinforcing my commitment to public safety.

Fulshear thrives when we support our own! Yesterday, I met with Kelly Ke of @wellnessspa.massagefulshear (30417 5th St Suite C, Fulshear Tx, 77441), discussing smart positioning, parking, and how to keep Fulshear’s dollars in Fulshear.

Her insights were powerful—local businesses are the backbone of our community! When they succeed, we all win. Let’s champion our entrepreneurs and build a stronger, more connected Fulshear!

Earlier this week, I met with Fire Chief Doug Boeker of the Fulshear-Simonton Fire Department to discuss response times, coverage, and the department’s ISO rating, key factors that impact both our safety and home insurance costs. These conversations are crucial as we work toward a safer, more prepared Fulshear.

I care deeply about this city and the well-being of every resident. Strong emergency services mean peace of mind for our families, and I will continue to engage with those who protect and serve our community.

Let’s build a safer, stronger Fulshear together.

PUBLIC SAFETY will be one of my priorities as a council man, that is why I'm excited to share that I've joined the FULSHEAR CITIZEN'S POLICE ACADEMY, an 11-week program that gives a firsthand look at how our police department operates.

As I work to help make Fulshear a safer place for families and businesses, this experience will help me better understand our officers’ challenges and how we can support them with the right tools.

This hands-on experience covers traffic stops, use of force, DWI enforcement, drones, K-9 units, jail tour, shoot-don't shoot training, narcotics, and even a ride-along with an officer.

I’ll be sharing weekly updates, so follow along as we work together for a stronger, safer Fulshear especially for our children!

Understanding Fulshear’s Growth and Safety: My Visit to Fulshear Police Department.

Today, I had the opportunity to visit the @fulshearpolice Department and speak with Captain McCoy about the rapid growth of our city. As Fulshear continues to expand, it is essential that our public safety infrastructure grows alongside it to ensure the well-being of our residents.

Captain McCoy and I discussed how this growth impacts policing, community engagement, and the need for proactive measures to keep Fulshear one of the safest cities in Texas. It was insightful to hear firsthand about the challenges and strategies in place to maintain public safety in our growing community.

As I continue my journey to serve Fulshear, my commitment remains strong in advocating for smart, strategic planning that prioritizes safety, business development, and community well-being.

Let’s work together to ensure a safe and thriving Fulshear for generations to come!
