Meet E. Brown Otu
Who I Am
I’m Ekpenyong Brown Otu, a proud resident of the Pecan Ridge subdivision in Fulshear, where I live with my wife, our two sons, and a community of wonderful neighbors. As a local business owner, experienced project manager, and member of St. Faustina Catholic Church, I’m deeply committed to our city’s future. I’m a Christian who values family and believes safety, supporting thoughtful growth and small businesses, maintaining the character of our community are key to keeping Fulshear a great place to live.
I have lived in Texas for 16 years and proudly called Fulshear home since 2023.
I was recently branded “The Bridge Builder of the Brazos, because bringing people together to foster unity, is what I love. Community togetherness is something I value, and I enjoy organizing and supporting local groups to strengthen our bonds.
Experience & Leadership
Beyond my professional endeavors, I am dedicated to community service. I love helping and organizing community groups because I believe in the power of togetherness.
I have over 10 years experience as a project manager and scrum master, leading multiple teams across the healthcare, construction, finance, oil and gas, insurance, and IT sectors. I successfully delivered projects valued in the millions of dollars, consistently ensuring they were completed on time and with excellence. With over three decades experience in the entertainment industry as a DJ and photographer, I have cultivated a deep appreciation for creativity and connection. Alongside this, I am also a skilled computer technician and the Owner of Afrijamz Consult, a marketing and distribution company. I take pride in helping businesses grow and connect with the right audiences.
A proud member of the Fulshear Regional Chamber of Commerce, where I actively support local businesses and engage with fellow community leaders to help strengthen our local economy and foster meaningful connections throughout the region.
To better understand law enforcement and public safety, I attended and graduated from the Fulshear police academy class 9. The experience strengthens my commitment to building strong partnerships between our community and those who protect it.
I have a B.Sc. in Political Science and have a deep commitment to public service. Serving my community is one of my greatest passions, and I am eager to extend my efforts to the City of Fulshear, working towards a more united and thriving community.
We need leadership that prioritizes the safety of our families, supports local businesses, and invests in our children’s future. As a dedicated community leader, I’m committed to making our city safer, stronger, and more connected.
Currently serving in the Fulshear Development Corporation, where I help the city grow and support small businesses.
